Activist Belt
Vendor: Fire-hose
Type: Belt
Made out of recycled firehose culled from the London Fire Brigade’s ageing stock, these belts have seen more action than Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb. These are belts that Trumpton Fire Brigade would be proud of.
Once all the soot, grease, and everything else that builds up after 25 years of active duty was scrubbed off, what shone through was a truly remarkable, truly green textile. Teamed with recycled pewter buckles made by a local buckle maker, the Activist Belt was born.
Two styles are shown here:
The Plaque Stitch. Can be worn night or day, with jeans or even with a suit. Detailing includes fine stitched edging and a heavy plaque buckle made in the UK with 100% reclaimed pewter.It is 3cm wide.
The Ladybird. So named because of the black rivet detailing across the back. Good for all activists – male and female. The solid rectangular buckle, made with 100% reclaimed pewter holds a 3.5cm wide belt.
Sizing:
Small = 33”
Medium = 35”
Large = 37”
